I have always loved Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," "Fur Elise," and of course the "5th"
Faithgirl has some pretty good stuff too! _________________ Happiness lies in not giving a flip what anyone else thinks. |

Beethoven is always a good start. Check out his string quartets as well. Mozart, Vivaldi, Claude Debussy, Gustav Mahler, Franz Schubert (Gretchen am Spinnrad and Den Lindenbaum especially), Fryderyk Chopin, Hector Berlioz, Felix Mendelssohn, Robert Schumann, Igor Stravinsky ( search, Rite of Spring), Rachmaninov, Josquin Des Prez, Franz Liszt, Joseph Hayden, Richard Strauss.
I noticed that you said classical but I am assuming that you mean older music with orchestral instruments and such because most of the names I gave came from the romantic music era because it tends to be the best time to get into orchestral music. I know that you said that you wanted actual piece names (and I guess I gave you some), but when it comes to these names, I highly recommend that you take the time to sift through their various works and see what you like. Often times I find that their less popular pieces are their better work (especially with Beethoven). Enjoy. If you need more names later, let me know. _________________ You can hear me in the harmony
